Board of Trustees Adds Grade 10 to the Academic School Next Year

The JLSS Board of Trustees during its meeting that was held on Wednesday 10 June 2009 decided to add Grade 10 to the Academic School next year. This will be the first grade of the Secondary School level in our school, and we hope to add Grade 11 the following year. It is one of the many decisions that were taken to improve and modernize the JLSS programs in order to best serve our children and the region we are in.
Rev. Dr. Habib Badr, Head of the National Evangelical Church in Beirut that owns and administers our school and the chairman of its Board of Trustees, will come with other board members to JLSS to meet with all teachers and members of staff at the end of the academic year. They will officially announce all the new decisions that are aimed at modernizing our school and bringing the best care and education to our children. This will also be an opportunity to exchange ideas, evaluate the work, introduce the strategic plan, and discuss the vision of the National Evangelical Church of Beirut for the future of JLSS.
The addition of Grade 10 enabled JLSS to keep some of its teachers who would have otherwise been made redundant at the end of this academic year. So this was wonderful news to JLSS.
