Very Kind Donation by Mr. Toni Asfour

We received a very kind donation on Thursday 14 April 2011 from board member Mr. Toni Asfour. He sent us a cheque for five thousand US$ Dollars.
This donation will be used for the renovation project of Family 4 (Boarding Home 4) which houses our youngest boys, ages four to seven. It urgently needs a make-over job. We plan to execute this project in summer 2011 with committed funds from our church: the National Evangelical Church in Beirut, and possible additional funds from our partners in Germany, EVS and EMS. The project aims to modernize this boarding home and make it more suitable for housing our youngest age group. Families 4 & 5 are the only boarding homes left that did not undergo any renovation and modernization. Mr. Asfour is also arranging a grant from the Rotary Foundation to equip those homes with solar water heating systems.
Mr. Asfour is a very active board member and a staunch supporter of our school. He continuously uses his contacts with the Rotary Foundation to provide us with grants for badly needed projects. School buses, furniture for the girls' boarding homes, the CNC machine, and equipment for our main kitchen, are among many projects that Mr. Asfour initiated and raised funds for, in partnership between the Beirut Cosmopolitan Rotary Club and other clubs in the Rotary Foundation. Through his amazing commitment and zeal for our school he raised enormous funds that helped us meet many of our urgent needs. Now his personal generosity also overwhelmed us as he provided us with this very kind donation.
