Christmas Celebrations 2016

Christmas 2016Schneller School celebrated Christmas on Wednesday 21 December 2016.
The Academic Department held a very nice program for the Junior School at 1.30 PM. Teachers also had festive activities with their students in their classrooms during the last period of school that day.
The boarding department started its celebrations with a service of Lessons and Carols held at six o'clock in St. Michael's Church.
The special
Christmas dinner followed. Boarding homes hosted teachers, trainers, and members of staff with their families. Those who attended enjoyed a nice evening with the children.
Later in the evening Santa Claus arrived andChristmas 2016 distributed the Christmas presents. Two students form Family 6 (Boarding Home 6) took the Santa duty this year. They distributed presents to all students of the boarding department.
The Christmas presents were bought with kind grants from Embrace the Middle East and LBMS (The Lutheran Board for Mission Support - USA). LBMS supported the Christmas presents this year for the first time. We asked for a special grant for this very important aspect of our traditional Schneller celebration of Christmas as we were short on funds. LBMS kindly responded with a generous grant. We express our sincere gratitude to LBMS and Embrace the Middle East for enabling us to buy gifts for all our children.
We thank all our students, teachers, and members of staff who prepared the wonderful programs.
Christmas Celebrations 2016 We especially thank our kitchen staff for preparing the delicious dinner.
We also express our sincere gratitude to the president of the alumni association in Lebanon, Mr. Ghassan Shehadeh, and members of the association who attended the celebrations of the boarding department in the evening. We especially thank them for their kind donation (two 58" Samsung LED televisions for classrooms).

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
