Al and Lois Roberts Awards
2021 2022
There
was a long delay in distributing the Al and Lois Roberts Awards this
year. We usually gave those awards in October at the beginning of the
academic year based on the grades of the previous year. We had to figure
out how to distribute these awards due to the huge drop in the local
currency which lost 95% of its value.
We finally made the decision to give these awards to six instead of two
students.
We received US$ 300 for the awards of the Academic Year 2021/2022.
Each student received a total of US$ 50 (30$ scholarship and 20$ cash).
The awards went as follows:
Two students in Grade 9: Eveta Salloum and Nisrine al Hussein
with the highest grades in Chemistry.
Two students in Grade 8: Leen al Ghandour and Michelle Saikali
with the highest grades in Chemistry.
One student in Grades 7: Omar Safiyye with the highest
grade in Science.
One students in Grade 6: Michael Naim with the highest
grade in Science.
We congratulate all six students for their excellence in Chemistry and
Science.
We thank the Lutheran Board for Mission Support - USA for the wonderful
support our school receives, and for the yearly Al and Lois Roberts
Awards that encourage our students to do better and work hard for
success.
